What we do

Home Care Service Offerings

companion-care

Companion Care

Companion care is a form of home care offering non-medical services to older adults or people with disabilities. Companion care differs from personal care in that personal care aides (also known as home health aides) may provide the same services as companion care but also help with tasks such as bathing, dressing, and medication management.

The goal of companion care is primarily emotional support and socialization, although companions may also help older adults with a variety of tasks including:

  • Light housekeeping
  • Other household chores such as washing clothing and dishes
  • Running errands such as grocery shopping
  • Planning and scheduling appointments and social activities
  • Preparing meals
  • Socialization and entertainment
  • Communicating with family members and other care team professionals

Dementia Care

Caring for someone with dementia can have many emotional and physical challenges for a family. Respite care is designed to give rest or relief to family caregivers. Respite services can give families positive support and help to reduce stress. Caring for someone with dementia is especially challenging because dementia patients can lose the ability to speak or communicate in other ways. It may seem as though they are unable to understand what is said to them. Client-centered care, or comfort-centered care, addresses the difficulties that arise when communicating between caregiver and patient.

nurse-care

Nursing Care

The point of nursing care is to care for others. Individualized care plans are tailored to meet the unique needs of each client. In-home nursing care can help care for needs that are not addressed by a standardized care plan.

homemaking

Homemaking

Homemaking is a term that defines the management of a home, otherwise known as housework, housekeeping, or household management. Our in-home caregivers can help clients to oversee the organizational day-to-day operations of a household.

respite

Respite

A respite care service is designed to give the primary caregivers a much needed break by helping with, but not limited to bathing clients, dress, groom, take medications, or eat meals. Our respite care providers can also run a load of laundry, make beds, and prepare meals.

medication-assistance

Medication Assistance

Our health care aides can assist clients by administering medication and ensuring that all medications are taken according to the appropriate schedule.

end-of-life-care

End of Life Care

Palliative care is meant to enhance a person’s current care by focusing on quality of life for both the patient and the family. Our personal care is designed to be compassionate and to make the client feel comfortable at all times.

personal-care

Personal Care

Our home care aides can also assist with the activities of our clients’ daily lives. These may include ordinary day-to-day activities that have become difficult or impossible for some patients, for example, bathing, dressing, moving around, using the toilet, eating, and walking.

post-hospitalization

Post-Hospitalization

We can also help patients who need continued care after being released from a hospital stay. This may include help with bathing and dressing. Our aides can do the laundry, make beds, and even prepare meals if needed.

meal-preparation

Meal Preparation

Meal preparation can include different levels of assistance, from purchasing groceries to the preparation of hot and nutritious meals (allowing the client to assist when possible). Our aides can also help with some light clean-up after meals, when needed.

around-the-clock-care

Around the clock care

Ethical Home at Care can provide 24-hour care when required. We can assist with the daily living activities including bathing and dressing, meal preparation, housekeeping, nursing services, assistance with taking medications, wound care, and even serious injury care.

Whether you need support in the morning to get out of the bed and start your day, or assistance in the evening to prepare a meal and take medication, or help in the middle of the night, our caregivers can be by your side, around-the-clock.

foot-care
